This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.   • The Short Stay RN is an RN who will utilize the nursing process and evidence based practice in order to develop individual plans of care for Veterans in the Short Stay Unit. The RN is a key member of the multidisciplinary team. The RN is responsible for patient advocacy, collaboration, with other team members, promoting effective communication and ethical practice. The RN functions within their scope of practice to provide high quality direct patient care to patients such as medical/surgical type patients, pre-/post-operative surgical patients, Veterans receiving chemotherapy and radiation therapy, skilled rehabilitation, etc. The RN in collaboration with the Veteran and family members builds a care plan that meets the needs of the Veteran. *Additional duties as assigned. This position is located at Lebanon VA Medical Center within Geriatrics and Extended Care. The RN will provide care to Veterans assigned to the Short Stay Unit.
