About the Position: This position is located at McDonald Army Health Center at Fort Eustis, Virginia. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Operate, maintain, and repair complex low-pressure steam, hydronic thermal generation systems, and comprehensive facility plumbing infrastructure within a clinical environment.
- Maintain daily operational oversight of a dual-boiler configuration with an aggregate capacity of 100 HP, along with auxiliary forced-air delivery systems, mechanical controls, and heat exchangers.
- Review, calibrate, and sustain complex high- and low-voltage electrical distribution networks, emergency branch circuits, switchgear, and overcurrent protection devices across clinical and administrative spaces.
- Prepare and apply specialized high-performance, clinical-grade coatings to diverse interior and exterior healthcare surfaces.
- Install, maintain, and repair complex domestic water, medical gas, vacuum, and sanitary waste systems to support active clinical operations and ensure strict infection control standards.
