This position is located in the Cybersecurity Authorizations and Compliance Branch (CACB). CACB supports the implementation and continuous monitoring for compliance with IT privacy policies, Federal Information Processing Standards, and privacy requirements for all information technology used in support of the USPTO.
- The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year. Come join our team if: You are enthusiastic about reviewing and evaluating identified security vulnerabilities, penetration testing results, and system related configuration information to identify need for additional security controls based on new security technologies or threats. You are motivated to serve as a System Security subject matter expert on inter-agency working groups, committees, and task forces for the acquisition and development of next generation products. You are driven to reinforce the importance of information security through conducting and/or recommending training and awareness programs for employees. You enjoy ensuring all systems and applications are certified and accredited by USPTO and DOC guidelines and requirements, for FISMA information systems and applications.
