About the Position: The Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practice-Clinical/Psychiatric) provides support to the Dumfries Health Clinic, helping ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and facility operations. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Provide comprehensive mental health care to adult uniformed personnel within the National Capital Region.
- Perform psychiatric intakes, evaluations, and prescribes medications.
- Educate patients about medication risks, benefits, and side effects; monitors progress and efficacy
- Coordinate with primary care and other providers for referrals, feedback, and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate records using computerized systems for documentation and coding.
