As a HR Specialist (Classification) with the Classification Strategy and Operations program, you will provide position management and classification services, manage reimbursable HR projects, advise customer agencies, and deliver training on classification and position management topics.

  • Classifies Federal positions and recommends defensible title, series, grade, and related position data determinations. Conducts position management and classification reviews, including desk audits, interviews, work sample reviews, and evaluation statements. Applies classification standards, guides, policy, digest decisions, and appeal decisions to support classification recommendations. Advises customer agencies on position management, classification programs, policies, business practices, and organizational structure issues. Manages reimbursable HR projects by setting goals, milestones, resources, deliverables, quality controls, and project reporting. Serves on cross-functional teams supporting HR strategy, organization design, workforce planning, program evaluation, and related HR services. Designs and delivers classification and position management training, workshops, presentations, focus groups, and facilitation sessions.
