About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Financial Technician at the Naval Health Clinic Annapolis in Maryland, providing support in accounting, budgeting, and financial management. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Manage full cycle of accounts payable/account receivable, ensuring strict compliance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain and reconcile detailed financial ledgers/files to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, procedures and federal budgeting/fiscal laws.
- Perform time and attendance duties, which include validating and processing data, correcting errors, assisting employees with pay inquiries.
- Contribute to development, implementation of internal controls and audit ready environment for accounting and payroll.
- Ensure consistent adherence to all contract requirements through close collaboration/support for the Contracting Officer Representatives.
