- The Minneapolis VA Health Care System is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Physiatrist, specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The PM&R Department in Minneapolis has expertise in programming for several subspecialties in rehabilitation to include TBI, Amputation, Stroke, Neurorehab and musculoskeletal care. The PM&R Department has a close alignment with our Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder program as well as our Neurology program. Duties include, but are not limited to: Medical Director of the Minneapolis outpatient TBI program, also known as the Polytrauma Network Site. Provide direct clinical care to outpatients utilizing the full interdisciplinary team including all therapy disciplines, recreation therapy, vocational rehab, neuropsychology; as well as consulting teams in neurosurgery, neurology, pain medicine, audiology and neuro-optometry. Serve administratively to provide leadership to the outpatient TBI team, assistance to other TBI sites in our region and work with our regional community of practice to develop and maintain standards of care and practice. Track data and outcomes from Minneapolis for the national office. Inpatient coverage for the neurorehabilitation programs. Works with resident trainees in therapy programs and medical students from the University of Minnesota. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards.
