This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.   • This is an open-continuous announcement and will remain open until December 31, 2026, or until the vacancies are filled (if a selection is made and offer accepted, announcement will be closed). Major Duties of this position may include, but are not limited to: Provide outpatient care for primary care patients, including routine scheduled visits and urgent visits Prescribe medications within defined scope of practice Order diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests, imaging, electrocardiograms Review need for and order health promotion and disease prevention measures Initiate and respond to consultations, special tests and studies Provide education and counseling of patients and families in preventive care, medical conditions, and use of prescribed treatments and drugs. Participate in team communication with the PACT MSA, LPN and RN: a. Team Huddles b. Timely response to team communication via Microsoft Teams, email, telephone Precept house staff in resident continuity clinic in primary care Coverage of other clinics such as military environmental exposure, medical optimization pre-op, etc. Serve as a surrogate to receive View Alerts and Secure Messages assigned to a PACT provider Assistance with clinical requests from Nursing to minimize interruptions to patient care for PACT providers Complete patient forms and writing patient letters Serve as LISVH liaison Administrative duties for Primary Care Service/Medical Facility to be completed in between patient care visits as assigned by Primary Care Chief/Executive Leadership Assist with Primary Care FPPE/OPPE reviews Assist with Toxic Exposure Screening metrics VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
