About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

  • Prioritize the hearing conservation screening schedule and audiologist diagnostic schedule and lead health technicians through daily responsibilities in support of Hearing Readiness, annual, pre-deployment, post deployment and in/out processing.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and provide instruction for Army Hearing Program technician certification training workshops as well as reserving local course training sites.
  • Conduct regular full life cycle management and first-echelon equipment maintenance of hearing test, noise measurement and hearing protection hardware/software systems.
  • Assist in preparing installation, regional, and enterprise reports and metrics using several report systems in addition to other data analysis systems.
  • Track hearing aids and custom hearing protection orders from initialization through fitting and take silicone impressions for custom hearing protection orders and hearing aids.
