- Functions as a Warehouse Worker Foreman in the institution's warehouse or commissary operation at a Federal Bureau of Prisons. Supervises inmate workers who are responsible for receiving, storing, shipment and issue of a wide variety of supplies, materials, equipment and commodities required in the operation of the facility. Responsible for inventory control of the institution's raw materials which consists of receipt, cataloging, stocking, and issuing of all incoming materials from outside sources. Determines sequences for loading materials and organizing incoming shipments for maximum space utilization, safety considerations, and damage protection. Orders, transports, stocks and sells merchandise in the Trust Fund sales unit. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
