- The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties:
- Employee will be assigned to the WV Offices of the Insurance Commissioner's Human Resources Section.
- Under the administrative direction of the Human Resources Director, will manage the Classification and Compensation unit.
- Responsible for directing the work of HR Generalists and HR Associates, reviewing and approving their work product, performing employee performance evaluations, and approving time and leave.
- Will provide complex administrative support services in classification and compensation areas such as job postings, recruitment, registers, and personnel transactions.
- Will provide direct assistance to managers, employees, and other HR staff on process and procedures.
- Shares expert knowledge of the Division of Personnel's Administrative Rule, state policies, OIC policies, and internal systems such as Oasis and NEOGOV.
- Will have signature authority for HR personnel transactions as a backup for the HR Director. Assist staff in initiating and approving vacancy announcements and register requests.
- Assist with recruitment and staffing needs. Coordinate job fairs and recruiting efforts for the agency. Develop, implement, and maintain a recruitment plan.
- Provides support to the HR Director and Deputy Commissioner on special projects, as needed. Preference will be given to applicants with prior management experience and extensive experience in HRM/Oasis and NEOGOV.
Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid administrative or supervisory experience in the area of assignment.
Special Requirement: A valid driver's license may be required.
