This position is located in the Forest Service (FS), Business Operations, Grants and Agreements (G&A) Program. The individual provides guidance to two headquarters staffs and strategic direction to G&A staffs in every Region and Station. Position will be responsible for the management and oversight of the overall execution of the grants and agreements functions and activities.   • Management and Policy Promotes the successful implementation of strategic plans through continuous monitoring of plan implementation activities.
  • Evaluates and reports on short- and long-term goal achievement and implements performance management processes to facilitate the monitoring and reporting of accomplishments and performance improvements.
  • Participates in agency-wide decisions regarding compliance with financial systems, records and regulatory requirements that impact the Grant and Agreement program.
  • Provides leadership, allocates resources, and implements activities to accomplish Forest Service multicultural organization direction, and Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights requirements, goals, policies, and objectives.
  • Ability to analyze complex and conflicting regulations and policies, and project effect of changes to laws and regulations and their impact upon grants and agreements administration and management.
