You will serve as a Park Ranger (Protection) - Emergency Services Coordinator, in the Division of Resource and Visitor Protection in Glacier National Park. You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 3 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.
- This developmental position serves in the Division of Resource and Visitor Protection in Glacier National Park. The purpose of the position is to implement and coordinate most emergency service functions for the park including assisting the unit with meeting organization mandates for security, law enforcement and disaster preparedness in the park while performing as a law enforcement officer and park ranger. The full performance level of this position is GS-12. Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program Management Search and Rescue (SAR) Program Management Structural Fire (SF) Program Management Supervision of seasonal Preventative Search and Rescue (PSAR) Rangers Law Enforcement (LE) Supervision Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
