This vacancy is for a GS-2210-13, IT Cybersecurity Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, USCG FINANCIAL SERVICE CENTER in CHESAPEAKE, Virginia.
- You will serve as a IT Cybersecurity Specialist and be responsible for managing application software development and sustainability for financial management information systems through IT support processes and ensure application software quality through rigorous testing and validation prior to software release in production environment. Responsibilities include providing IT services and support to FSC Divisions and financial management customers across the CG, to enhance mission execution, support, readiness, and safety. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Analyzing design constraints, analyzing trade-offs and detailed system and security design, and considering life cycle support. Developing and directing system testing and validation procedures and documentation. Analyzing user needs and requirements to plan and conduct system development. Collaborating with partner agencies to secure critical infrastructure, financial systems, and Coast Guard IT networks.
