About the Position: The Practical Nurse (Inpatient) provides support to the A. T. Augusta Military Medical Center in Fort Belvoir VA, helping ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and facility operations. - Recording vital signs, monitoring patient conditions, and reporting significant findings to the supervising nurse or physician
- Assist patients with mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs to promote comfort and recovery. Maintains
- Communicate with patients and families to ensure they are informed about care plans and progress.
- Administer prescribed medications ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.
- Prepare and delivers oral, topical, and injectable medications while monitoring for and responding to side effects or adverse reactions.
