About the Position: This position is for EVANS Army Community Hospital Cardiology Service. NOTE: 32 hours per pay period (0.4 FTE/ 16 hours per week) This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
- Perform a wide range of medical duties covering all aspects of disorders involving Pulmonary Medicine.
- Diagnoses and treats a full range of adult pulmonary disorders (COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary nodules) in the clinic setting.
- Provides direct care and consultative services for critically ill patients in the ICU, including ventilator management, invasive monitoring, and resuscitation.
- Performs and interprets specialized clinical procedures, including bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and comprehensive pulmonary function tests (PFTs).
- Leads pulmonary/critical care clinical pathways, collaborates with respiratory therapy, and advises hospital leadership on pulmonary service guidelines.
