About the Position: This position is located at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, Florida. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
- Perform a wide variety of difficult and complex laboratory tests and examinations in the chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, immunohematology, and microbiology sections of a medical treatment facility laboratory.
- Select appropriate test methodology to use and recognizes when test values are positive or exceed a defined decision limit.
- Independently correlate laboratory markers with certain pathological states to verify abnormal results and minimize highly complex diagnostic problems.
- Input data and results in hospital-wide computer system making corrections as required for proper diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
- Calibrate various analyzers as required and runs quality control samples on all instruments, making adjustments as necessary.
