This position will serve as an Administrative Officer within the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service Department. He/she is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of various administrative duties at his/her respective GCVHCS site. The duties include, but are not limited to, timekeeping, coordination of surveys and reports, performance improvement activities, policy development, budget and financial management, procurement and contracting, statistical analysis, etc.
- Develops, analyzes, evaluates, advises on, or improves the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, and delegations of authority. Provides guidance and direction to the many and varied licensed staff regarding directives, policies, insuring efficiency and effectiveness Provides guidance and assistance to supervisors and staff on personnel issues, projecting staff needs Provides advice and makes recommendations to Service Chief, liaison for executives, investigating and resolving problems. Acts as liaison with human resources office, coordinating personnel actions, and maintaining personnel records. Completes and assists managers with writing position descriptions, functional statements, job analysis, performance plans, training requests, and drafting disciplinary and adverse action documents. Adjusts work procedures among administrative staff according to workload to ensure highest efficiency. Provides direction and measures outcomes of services by reviewing and analyzing data, making recommendations for improved efficiency and effectiveness. Supervises administrative staff, establishing guidelines and performance expectations, clearly communicating them though the employee performance management systems. Observes and evaluates employee performance, develops work improvement plans ,recommending personnel action as necessary. Provides guidance and relates policy and procedures to all disciplines within the Service Line, and advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters. Provides administrative oversight of all programs and services by planning, developing and evaluating and directing key administrative activities in multiple programs. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm ; subject to changed based on needs of the facility. Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
