Parks Maintenance Worker I - P/T

Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance of park grounds, landscaping, athletic fields and/or facilities, depending on area of assignment. Operates a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicles in the operation, repair, and maintenance of City parks, beaches, athletic fields and/or facilities, centers, and buildings. Work is performed under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

High school diploma or GED; supplemented by some experience in parks maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must have or obtain First Aide, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External (AED) certifications within three (3) months of hire. 

Must have a valid Florida driver's license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment.

Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
