About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
- Perform a comprehensive mental health nursing assessment and history to plan, provide and direct nursing care across the continuum of care.
- Teach patient and family members regarding the disease process.
- Utilize the nursing process to identify patient problems and generate nursing diagnoses.
- Administer many psychotropic and complex medications via various routes.
- Identify pending crisis situations and handle appropriately.
