This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County.
- Serve as a helper in the repair and maintenance of gasoline powered and tractor drawn lawn mowers and other types of grounds maintenance equipment.
- Assist in routine maintenance to include dismantling equipment and reassembling and adjusting parts.
- Provide information to supervisor on status and progress of work, cause of delays, and overall work operations and problems.
- Responsible for the accountability and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Perform duties in carpentry, painting, tractor and gardening, small engine and equipment maintenance, and motor vehicle and forklift operations.
