About the Position: This position is located at Martin Army Community Hospital; within, Department of Pathology Martin Army Community Hospital, Ft. Benning, GA Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Determines and plans type and extent of services provided by the Microbiology Section.
- Initiates advanced, complicated, non-standardized procedures as well as the full range of specialized tests and non-routine procedures in the Microbiology Section.
- Consults with pharmacists, Infection Control Nurse, technical representatives, ancillary personnel, other government agency personnel.
- Monitors Quality Improvement process, reviews, and updates of standards and procedures for quality control in regard to test procedures, systems, and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Serves as a member of the Infection Control committee.
