This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
- Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties include, but aren't limited to: GS-11 Psychologist, Entry Level The GS-11 is primarily a supervised clinical position, with 90 to 100% of time assigned to clinical responsibilities. Conduct psychological diagnostic evaluations, including assessment of emotional, behavioral, and suicide-related concerns. Administer and interpret psychological testing within assigned areas of practice. Develop diagnostic and treatment recommendations using interviews, records, collateral information, and testing. Provide individual, family/couples, and group psychotherapy. Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, including brief episodes of care. Coordinate care and comply with clinical documentation, performance measures, and treatment-program procedures. GS-12 Psychologist, Developmental The GS-12 remains heavily clinical, with 80 to 100% of assigned time devoted to clinical responsibilities, but the position adds greater independence, staff development, teaching, and research functions. Provide a full range of psychological diagnostic and evaluation services. Develop treatment plans and recommendations using interviews, records review, collateral information, and psychological testing. Provide evidence-based psychological interventions appropriate to the clinical setting. Provide professional consultation to other disciplines regarding psychological and behavioral health matters. Assist with training and supervision of lower-grade staff and psychology trainees. Participate in teaching, research, and limited program-management activities. GS-13 Psychologist, Full Performance The GS-13 is the full-performance level. Clinical duties account for 75 to 100% of assigned time, with broader professional independence, consultation, supervision, teaching, research, and program responsibilities. Independently provide the full range of psychological diagnostic and evaluation services. Formulate diagnostic and treatment recommendations using comprehensive assessment methods and psychological testing. Independently provide a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions. Serve as a professional consultant and psychological resource to interdisciplinary staff and programs. Supervise and train psychology staff, interns, fellows, practicum students, and other trainees as assigned. Lead or participate in program coordination, professional education, research, committees, and other service-level activities. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
