This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. • The Outpatient General Mental Health (GMH) Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) team-based care provides Veteran-centered, recovery-oriented, and evidence-based care. The incumbent in this position functions as a Coordinator with supervisory responsibilities for BHIP teams and as well as providing direct clinical services to Veterans being served in the BHIP program. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Incumbent provides both administrative and clinical supervision to the staff as assigned. The incumbent is expected to set priorities and make assignments according to capabilities of employees and oversee personnel management functions of staff assigned. The incumbent has established guidelines and performance expectations for staff, and clearly communicates them through the formal employee performance management system. The incumbent evaluates subordinate's performance and offers instruction, advice, or counseling on clinical and administrative matters. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring compliance with social work practice standards and guidelines on documentation, workload, data entry, ethical practice, and service delivery. The incumbent participates in the development of functional statements/position descriptions and performance plans/standards for social workers to include core competencies and critical elements. The incumbent attempts to resolve complaints from employees and will refer grievances or unresolved complaints, using the proper procedures. The incumbent effectively handles minor disciplinary measures such as warning and reprimands and recommends action in more serious cases. The incumbent is knowledgeable on development and training needs/competencies of employees, and whenever possible, will assist subordinates in addressing these needs.
