Job Summary
LJ's Cleaning Solutions is seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Supervisor to lead a janitorial team and oversee daily cleaning operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring quality standards are met, coordinating schedules, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the daily janitorial team
Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered
Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, and performance
Conduct quality inspections and ensure cleaning standards are met
Train, coach, and support janitorial staff
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
Respond to employee questions and resolve concerns
Communicate with management through email and radio
Perform hands-on cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas
Perform floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and polishing
Requirements
Valid driver's license required
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in janitorial or custodial services
3 years of janitorial or custodial experience preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Working knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and computers
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
Ability to pass a criminal background check and E-Verify
Flexible to cover shifts as needed
