About the Position

Lane County Behavioral Health Child and Adolescent Program (CAP) is looking for a dynamic full-time child and adolescent outpatient Mental Health Clinician. This person would be responsible for providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents and adults including, but not limited to mental health evaluations (ages 2-18) and implementing strength based service plans which integrate school, health, care and family systems. A successful applicant will have experience and training in providing therapeutic services for children as young as two, through to transition aged youth. CAP utilizes evidenced based treatment methods and supports in clinic, school, community, telehealth and other settings. This person will have experience in working with complex system issues which can include legal, social welfare, and disability services. As we use a team based approach to care, a successful candidate will be able to collaborate with a multi-specialty mental health team.

About the Division

Lane County Behavioral Health provides services to more than 1,600 individuals with behavioral health conditions. We work with community partners to provide a continuum of care from prevention through treatment and aftercare in an environment that promotes a culture of resilience and recovery.

Mental Health Specialist 1 Training & Experience:

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work or a related field.

• One year of some experience working directly with mentally or emotionally disturbed clients in the provision of behavioral health services is highly desirable.

Mental Health Specialist 2 Training & Experience:

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.

• Two years of responsible professional mental health experience, including one year of experience specific to the program or area of assignment.

An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

• This position is subject to a full criminal offender information record check.
