About the Position: This position falls under the Defense Health Agency-Atlantic Network at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth servicing as the Supervisory Engineer (Mechanical/General/Electrical) and the Command's senior technical authority on professional facility engineering systems, exercising full technical, administrative, and supervisory authority over the Consolidated Engineering Division. - Oversee and direct all professional, multidisciplinary engineering planning, programming, design, capital construction, maintenance, and facility repairs across the primary hospital facility and all assigned outlying medical and dental clinics.
- Responsible for all planning, programming, construction, design, maintenance, repair, utility improvements, and engineering of systems for all command-owned real property.
- Evaluate staffing numbers, ensuring personnel complete training and administrative tasks on schedule, as well as supporting military and civilian engineering officers in their professional development as Professional Engineers and/or Architects.
- Perform functions involving the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering, as well as architectural systems.
- Provide oversight of earthwork, building envelopes, foundations, water and sewage utilities.
