- Serves as the senior Environmental Protection Specialist within assigned areas and supports DLA Disposition Services Field Activities disposing of Hazardous materials/waste.
- Ensures and documents the environmental compliance of DLA Disposition Services field activities by conducting thorough inspections and audits;
- Such as hazardous waste disposal contractors, Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs), and hazardous property sales customers.
- Evaluates the efficiency of field activities through statistical analysis, quality assurance inspections, and reviews of automated information systems reports, briefing top management on findings and significant data trends.
- Prepares and presents detailed reports and briefings on program status, compliance audits, and significant data trends to senior leadership and responds to complex inquiries.
