This vacancy is for a GS-0201-12, Human Resources Specialist (Info Sys) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Office of Civilian Strategic Planning and Applications in Washington, District of Columbia.
- You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Info Sys) and be responsible for serving as the point of contact for HR audits, in addition to assisting program managers performing systems work across all of the USCG's and DHS's sponsored HR automated systems. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Managing the internal/external Financial/IT audit process for Civilian Personnel Creating and maintaining an internal tracking system for all audit requests and ensuring all audit requests are responded to timely Assisting in testing and evaluations of database package tools with systems development teams and testing different technical approaches and projections and considering probable areas of future change in system design, or comparable aspects that will facilitate future modernization Providing advice to operational staff members regarding the development of solutions to problems encountered in the use of HR automation/software systems Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Requests: If you believe you have a disability (i.e., physical or mental), covered by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended that would interfere with completing the USA Hire Competency Based Assessments, you will be granted the opportunity to request a RA in your online application.
