• This Auditor provides expert financial and investigatory analysis, including forensic accounting work in investigations involving highly complex financial transactions. If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Auditor support in the Securities Financial and Cyber Fraud Unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Massachusetts, located in Boston, Massachusetts, focusing in the areas of investigations, discovery, trial preparation, and trial presentation (including testifying in court as a summary and/or expert witness). Typical work assignments will include: Planning and conducting financial audits of a complex nature to identify suspected violations of Federal Statutes; Examining and analyzing financial data pertaining to the transactions, events, or allegations under investigation; Developing financial profiles of organizations that include history of events or the restructuring of records to assist with investigations; Assisting with witness interviews, proffers, and trial preparations; Compiling documents and physical evidence, creating detailed charts, graphs, summaries, videotapes and other audio-visual materials for use in court proceedings; Preparing reports of findings, including appropriate recommendations and exhibits: As needed, testifying in court.
