This position is located within the Deputy Inspector General for Evaluations, Audit Oversight Division. In this position, you will serve as an Auditor supporting a Project Manager, and will be responsible for performing broad and complex assignments within the Audit Oversight Division.

• Serves under a Project Manager and is responsible for independently performing broad and complex assignments relating to the development, improvement, evaluation, and effective accomplishment of audits performed on behalf of or used by the DoW.
• Performs oversight and evaluation reviews of DoW internal and external auditors. Interprets regulations, policies, and applicable standards; evaluates consistent application, while recognizing diversity of audit organizations and type of audits.
• Ensures oversight reviews satisfy stated review objectives in accordance with applicable standards and working papers provide a supportable basis for reporting results. Creates and reviews reports for technical competence and adherence to standards.
• Reviews management responses to recommendations to determine adequacy of corrective actions. Evaluates management nonoccurrences and ensures that DIG EVAL position is defensible with respect to the resolution process.
• Provides training to external auditors in auditing in the DoW environment, and how to comply with Single Audit Act requirements. Coordinates activities when technical expertise is required to assist DoW audit organizations carry out their missions.
