About the Position: Lead a skilled team of mechanics maintaining heavy construction, engineering, and super-heavy material-handling equipment. You will distribute work, perform quality control, and execute complex diagnostics, overhauls, and repairs to keep critical tactical and depot operations mission-ready.
- Serves as the working leader of more than three to five employees in accomplishing trades and labor work.
- Works closely with team members setting the pace and passes on instructions received from supervisor and starts work (e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led).
- Insures plans, publications, material, and tools are available, and needed stock is available and obtained from supply locations.
- Evenly distributes work load to team members and conducts in progress and final quality control inspections.
- As a journeyman Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic, performs the full range of General Support (GS) maintenance and repair of complex Military and Commercial equipment.
