Registered Nurse - Whole Health Program Coordinator

The Whole Health and Employee Well-Being Program Coordinator Registered Nurse for the Eastern Kansas VA, develops and carries out the strategic plan for Whole Health programming and employee well-being. The RN will manage organizational assessments, program development, and process improvements for Employee Whole Health, and is fully responsible for administering all aspects of the local initiatives. This position is 70% administrative and with 30% direct patient care duties.

• ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: As a Whole Health Program Coordinator Registered Nurse, you will serve Veterans in Topeka and Leavenworth, Kansas. In this highly rewarding role, you will: Analyze organizational challenges affecting employee wellbeing and Whole Health culture. Conduct needs assessments, gather employee feedback, and use data to shape core program components. Chair the Employee Whole Health Committee. Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, supervisors, senior leaders, union partners, and external agencies to advance Whole health and employee wellbeing across the agency. Oversee, evaluate, and improve Whole Health offerings for employees and Veterans, including CIH programming. Lead pilots and special projects in collaboration with facility leadership, research partners, and community agencies. Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies in collaboration with Communications/Public Affairs, including managing updates to SharePoint, external websites, social media interfaces, and community newsletters. Develop and deliver classes, seminars, and workshops on Whole Health topics. Provide outreach and public speaking to promote Whole Health locally and in the community. Partner with Suicide Prevention Program and Veteran Homeless Program to advance Whole Health and patient safety. Patient care duties may include collaborative assessment of health behaviors, personal health planning, or other direct complementary and integrative health services commensurate with program coordinator's background, training, and experience. Other duties as assigned Preferred Experience: Program Development, Program Implementation, Data Management.
