What you need to know about this position:
- The Specialty Pharmacy Courier position delivers pharmacy prescriptions from the specialty pharmacy to patients' homes within a pre-arranged time schedule.
- The position delivers reports, supplies, including pharmacy supplies and medications, and other hospital items to the offices, clinics, and patient homes. Time spent operating a vehicle is 90%.
- The Specialty Pharmacy Courier will be expected to plan routes, utilize navigation systems to locate addresses and follow standard operating procedures that maintain the integrity and safety of the medications delivered. This may include retrieving undeliverable packages and returning them to the pharmacy. Courier may be required to use a telephone to communicate with the patients or staff during normal operations.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $16.73. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This part-time position will require you to work 15 hours a week from 2:00pm-8:00pm, Monday through Friday.
What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general degree (GED) required.
- One (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Driver's License required.
Physical Demands: The employee is frequently required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and push or pull. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
