About the Position: You will serve as a Supply Technician supporting a multi-purpose hydro-electric dam. The Portland District operates 13 dams in the Willamette River basin. Each dam contributes to a water resource management system that provides flood risk management, power generation, water quality improvement, irrigation, fish and wildlife habitat, and recreation on the Willamette River and many of its tributaries.
- Procure supplies, services, and equipment in support of power generation, flood damage control, recreation and environmental stewardship, and fish and wildlife functions.
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineers, biologists, and maintenance employees to understand, identify, and locate items to satisfy requirements.
- Perform various related functions such as automated and manual files maintenance.
- Stay abreast of the latest policies, procedures, regulations, and laws related to purchasing, property management, and supply activities on the project.
- Utilize warehouse and clerical staff as appropriate to accomplish supply functions and property management.
