Human Resources Analyst I

The Colusa County Human Resources Department is seeking qualified candidates for promotion to Human Resources Analyst I. This is a departmental promotional opportunity open only to regular employees currently employed by the Colusa County Human Resources Department.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED 

Receives general direction from the Principal Human Resources Analyst.  May exercise technical supervision over technical and clerical staff.

As an HR Analyst I, you’ll have the opportunity to build on your HR experience and take on a broader, professional-level role within the Human Resources Department. You’ll become more involved in analyzing issues, researching and interpreting laws and policies, making recommendations, and helping departments navigate a variety of HR matters.

Your work may include recruitment and selection, benefits, employee relations, classification and compensation, performance management, policy development, compliance, data analysis, Board agenda items, and special projects. You’ll work closely with employees, departments, and County leadership while continuing to develop your knowledge and experience across the many areas of human resources.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:

Any Combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.  A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

HR Analyst I

• Three (3) years of experience and exposure to human resources functions.
• Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human relations, public or business administration or a closely related field.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Human Resources professional certification desired.

All County of Colusa employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109). Employment with the County requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
