Job Summary:

The Business Development Specialist (BDS) (Inside) is responsible for driving revenue growth through high-volume, proactive sales activity, developing customer relationships, expanding product penetration within existing accounts, and generating new business. The role is designed to identify and close sales opportunities through a disciplined, primarily phone-based sales approach. This role focuses on generating new business, growing existing customer relationships, and meeting or exceeding sales goals through consistent daily activity. The Business Development Specialist will be expected to identify customer needs, create sales opportunities, and effectively communicate the value of Rhythm Healthcare’s product portfolio. To be successful as a BDS at Rhythm Healthcare, you must be motivated, coachable, resilient, and comfortable communicating with customers by phone. Success requires preparation, consistent follow-through, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.

 

Location:

Fort Myers, Florida — In Office

This is an in-office position. The Business Development Specialist is expected to work from the Rhythm Healthcare office in Fort Myers, Florida, on a daily basis.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Achieve and exceed sales goals by executing a disciplined sales process and maintaining a strong opportunity pipeline
  • Handle a minimum of 75 activities/dials per day, consisting of both inbound and outbound calls
  • Add value to every customer interaction by understanding customer needs, identifying opportunities, and recommending appropriate solutions from the Rhythm Healthcare product portfolio
  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting and follow-up
  • Respond effectively to inbound customer inquiries and identify opportunities to generate additional business
  • Manage sales opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial contact through close • Follow the opportunity pipeline process to ensure timely progression through sales stages, with clear next steps and consistent follow-up
  • Maintain accurate and complete CRM records for all sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions
  • Identify opportunities to market, sell, upsell, and cross-sell assigned Rhythm Healthcare products to new and existing durable medical equipment providers
  • Collaborate with field sales resources on shared customers and opportunities to maximize total account growth and deliver a consistent customer experience
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and customers
  • Develop a strong understanding of Rhythm Healthcare’s products and effectively communicate product benefits and value
  • Tailor messaging and sales approach based on each customer’s needs, priorities, and business challenges
  • Follow through on commitments to ensure customer satisfaction, trust, and long-term retention
  • Partner with sales leadership to review pipeline health, identify roadblocks, and develop strategies to close opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Customer Experience, Sales Operations, AR, and Operations, to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Research prospective customers, identify key contacts, and generate new business opportunities
  • Participate in sales training, coaching, team meetings, and other development activities

  • Analyze and create reports as required
  • Achieve sales quotas and other performance metrics

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous sales, customer service, call center, healthcare, or business experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong interest in developing a career in sales
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, accept coaching, and adapt to new situations
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to consistently meet daily activity and performance expectations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn CRM systems

Compensation reflected in this posting is a combination of base salary and bonus/commissions. It is the target compensation for the first year, at plan achievements. A complete benefits package plus phone and auto allowances are also provided.
