About the Role
Thrive Therapies Group is hiring a part-time Product Engineer Intern to join our product and technology team, reporting to our Chief Product and Technology Officer. A product engineer defines what to build, shows it working, and measures whether it made a difference. You will spend time with the people who use our platform, turn what you learn into runnable prototypes and build-ready user stories, and track adoption once features ship. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy business student with real interest in making a career in AI-native and AI-powered businesses and who wants to learn how great products get built.
What You'll Do
Spend time with providers, clinical leaders and operations teams to understand workflows and pain points
Turn problems into runnable prototypes using AI tools such as Claude and Replit, while learning to and creating the right scope of documents.
Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria and the data fields they depend on, ready one week before build
Write user acceptance test scripts and test releases before they reach providers
Track adoption and outcomes after launch and bring back what is working and what is not
How We Work
AI-native by default. We plan, build, test, review and submit with AI tools in the loop, and we expect you to reach for them without being asked.
Weekly operating cadence. We plan on Monday, build continuously through the week, and release when the work is ready and tested.
Forward-deployed. The people who build a tool also own its adoption. We sit with providers and operations teams, feel the manual pain first, then automate it.
Plan, do, check, act. We write down what we intend, build it, measure whether it worked, and adjust.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a BBA or business analytics or related program
Tech savvy, with regular use of AI tools and comfort learning new software quickly
Strong spreadsheet skills and an analytical approach to messy information
Experience with software programming (Python, SQL) and data visualization tools (Excel, BI).
Clear, concise writing
Availability of 15 to 20 hours per week with overlap during US Central business hours
Ability to complete HIPAA training and pass a background check
Preferred Experience
Concentration in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics or a related area
Something you have built with no-code or AI tools
Figma or other design tools
Exposure to healthcare, education or special education
