About the Position: This position is located at Naval Hospital, Beaufort SC. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service
- Provide comprehensive medical, preventative, and therapeutic orthopedic healthcare service to cadets, active duty patients and their dependents, as well as retirees.
- Assist orthopedic surgeon in the Operating Room with surgical procedures.
- Evaluate total overall orthopedic healthcare needs of patients and develops plans to meet these needs.
- Teach patients and family member’s ways to maintain or improve their health status
- Facilitates and manages a full spectrum of patient care activities for the orthopedic team.
