Position Summary:

The Director, Global Sourcing & Compliance provides strategic leadership for Leaf Homes global sourcing, supplier compliance, quality, and supply-base risk management activities. This role develops and executes short- and long-term sourcing strategies that support cost optimization, product innovation, supplier performance, regulatory compliance, sustainability, and business continuity. The Director leads multiple areas of work within the sourcing and compliance function, partners across Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, and other functions, and translates market and supplier insights into business strategies, measurable outcomes, and risk mitigation plans. Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to optimize supplier lead times, MOQs, order quantities, payment terms, stocking strategies, and capacity commitments to improve inventory turns, working capital, service levels, and overall total cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Global Sourcing & Category Strategy: Develop and execute global sourcing and category strategies and the supplier portfolio roadmap, including spend segmentation, supplier identification and qualification, competitive sourcing, negotiation, supplier development, performance management, make/buy and regional sourcing decisions, and long-term capacity planning aligned with business objectives.
• Product Development, Innovation & Value Engineering: Direct supplier engagement across product development and new product launches, leveraging supplier engineering and manufacturing capabilities, should-cost analysis, design-to-value, specification optimization, and supplier innovation to improve cost, quality, speed, manufacturability, and launch readiness.
• Commercial Management, Productivity & Risk: Establish and oversee total cost of ownership strategies, market intelligence, sourcing opportunity pipelines, competitive RFx processes, contract and commercial negotiations, working-capital improvements, and supply-base risk mitigation plans that deliver Finance-validated savings, improve cash performance, and strengthen continuity of supply.

• Supplier Quality, Compliance & Resiliency: Provide strategic oversight of supplier quality, compliance, warranty, audit, regulatory, sustainability, capacity, and business-continuity frameworks, ensuring supplier expectations, corrective actions, reporting practices, and contingency plans align with Leaf Home standards and applicable requirements.

• Sourcing Operating System & Executive Reporting: Lead cross-functional sourcing and compliance initiatives; establish supplier segmentation, strategic supplier business reviews, functional KPIs, savings and risk reporting, and sourcing governance; and advise senior leadership on supply-market conditions, supplier performance, strategic opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.
• Organizational Leadership: Lead, develop, and align the Sourcing & Compliance team, including organizational planning, talent development, succession planning, resource allocation, departmental budget accountability, standard work, and execution of functional goals and OKRs.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or a Combination of education, training, and experience.
• 10+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience, driving supplier selection, contract negotiations, cost savings initiatives, and supply chain optimization across global markets
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated success developing teams and leading through change.
• Demonstrated success with complex supplier negotiations, strategic partnerships, and total cost of ownership strategies.
• Deep understanding of global sourcing markets, supplier risk, quality, compliance, and regulatory considerations.
• Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to translate market and supplier insights into strategic recommendations and measurable business outcomes.
• Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate effectively across internal and external audiences. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

• Related professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent supply chain and procurement credentials.
• Experience interpreting technical product specifications, manufacturing processes, and CAD documentation to support sourcing and supplier decisions.
• Experience supporting supplier sustainability initiatives, compliance reporting requirements, and global supplier governance programs.

Travel Requirements:

• 10% to 25% domestic and international travel required.

Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:

• Additional and non-standard hours may be required (exempt).

Physical Requirements:

• Normal office environment.
• Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
