This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for McDonald Army Health Clinic to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at the multidisciplinary mental health clinic within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) at Fort Eustis / Newport News, Virginia. The clinic operates in a collaborative, patient-centered, and often fast-paced environment, serving active-duty service members.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, including diagnostic impressions, to identify patient needs, strengths, and risk factors.
- Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family psychotherapy for a wide range of mental health conditions, such as PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, and adjustment disorders.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
- Perform crisis intervention, risk assessments (e.g., suicide, homicide, child/elder abuse), and safety planning.
- Provide case management services, including referral to appropriate internal and external resources, advocacy, and coordination of care.
