Administrative Coordinator I serves as a foundational administrative professional providing structured program and operational support under direct supervision. Work is primarily task-driven, process-oriented, and guided by established procedures. This level develops technical competence, organizational knowledge, and proficiency in service delivery.

- Calendar and meeting coordination as directed
- Customer service (phone, email, in person)
- Document preparation, formatting, and records management
- Data entry, database maintenance, and filing
- Expense tracking and purchase pcard reconciliation
- Supply ordering and inventory coordination
- Administrative support during public health incidents
- Completion of tasks based on established workflows and supervisor direction
- Follows defined procedures
- Minimal independent decision authority
- Escalates exceptions or issues to supervisor
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and business correspondence.
- Knowledge of administrative practices, recordkeeping, and office procedures.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other administrative systems.
- Ability to utilize modern office equipment, including computers, printers/copiers, scanners, and telephones.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree preferred
- 3 years administrative, business support, or equivalent comparable experience
- Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check.
- Drivers License required
- This role remains in a semi-stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally, this role will move about to accomplish tasks by walking or traveling from one department to another, or by traveling from one worksite to another. This position’s physical demands are assessed to be light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- This role constantly communicates with others to exchange information by speaking and writing, and that includes repeating motions that include wrists, hands, and/or fingers. This position will be asked to self-assess accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
- This position can expect no adverse environmental conditions as work is performed in an office building.
