About the Position: This position is located at Army Medical Center, Madigan. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Screen each patient to ensure all requirements are met and transports patients from the hospital units to the operating room
- Ensure all have been prepared for surgery, and is alert of any potential signs of respiratory, viral, clinical infection, or skin disorders that may cause any conflicts or issues during the surgical procedure.
- Pass instrument to the surgeon and maintains alertness for complications developing during surgery.
- Conduct sponge, sharp, and instrument counts with the charge nurse, verifying total count at end of surgical procedures or change of personnel.
- Clean operating room post-surgery, removes and disposes of soiled and/or contaminated materials; changes linen; washes, disassembles, sterilizes, and reassembles instruments.
