This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA J6/C4 ENTERPRISE DIRECTORATE (IT314).
- Provides technical guidance on IT life-cycle management, including strategic planning, capital planning and investment control, acquisition planning, policy development, and resource management.
- Develops and maintains IT strategic plans, policies, procedures, and standards to govern information systems, services, and technology resources.
- Analyzes new IT support requirements, develops technical approaches and evaluation criteria, and recommends solutions for system implementation, operations, expansion, and life-cycle management.
- Performs IT network and systems acquisition support, including preparing technical requirements, supporting procurement actions, and evaluating contractor proposals with technical personnel.
- Prepares and presents technical briefings, recommendations, and project information to management and stakeholders; provides technical advice and instruction to team members.
