About the role:

Brunswick Physical Therapy, powered by Areté Health, is looking for an Occupational Therapist with a passion for hand therapy to join our team in Porters Neck, NC.

Whether you're already a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or an OT looking to further develop your skills in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation, we'd love to connect. You'll help patients regain function, independence, and confidence following injuries, surgeries, and other conditions while working alongside a collaborative outpatient rehabilitation team.

What you'll want to know

• Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
• Schedule: Full-time, with scheduling flexibility based on clinic and team needs.
• Location: Brunswick Physical Therapy | Porters Neck, NC. This is an onsite clinical position.
• Work environment: Outpatient rehabilitation setting with an emphasis on hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. You'll collaborate with the Director of Occupational Therapy, Clinic Director, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate individualized patient care.

What you'll do:

• Evaluate patients with functional limitations, injuries, and disabilities, including hand and upper-extremity conditions, to identify their needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that support recovery, independence, and improved daily function.
• Provide direct patient care through therapeutic activities, manual therapy, appropriate modalities, ADL retraining, and functional rehabilitation techniques.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, safety, and strategies to support continued progress outside the clinic.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in team collaboration, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.

What we're looking for:

Required

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and evidence-based treatment skills.
• Interest in hand therapy and upper-extremity rehabilitation.
• Ability to manage an outpatient caseload while maintaining accurate, timely documentation.

Preferred

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential or previous experience in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation.
• Previous experience in an outpatient occupational therapy setting.
• Familiarity with therapeutic equipment, adaptive devices, and standard rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience using electronic medical record systems, particularly Prompt EMR.

CHT certification is preferred, not required. We welcome Occupational Therapists who are interested in further developing their skills in hand therapy.

The pay range for this role is:
