The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Psychiatrist position is within the Mental Health Service Line at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, TN.

The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Psychiatrist performs psychiatric assessment and treatment of co-morbid substance use disorders and general mental health conditions within a multi-disciplinary team. The psychiatrist is responsible for the ambulatory treatment of medically managed withdrawal from alcohol, benzodiazepines, and/or opioids. The psychiatrist is responsible for initiation of buprenorphine in treatment of opioid use disorder when appropriate. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
