Immigration and Customs Enforcement careers

Immigration and Customs Enforcement was created in 2003 by merging the investigative and interior enforcement elements of the former U.S. Customs Service and the Immigration and Naturalization Service. It's now a Department of Homeland Security agency with more than 20,000 law enforcement and support personnel in over 400 offices in the United States and around the world, organized into four directorates, Homeland Security Investigations and Enforcement and Removal Operations among them. The healthcare piece sits inside detention: the ICE Health Service Corps is the component that provides medical care within the agency's detention operations.
