About the Position: This position is located in the Ambulatory Procedure Unit/Same Day Surgery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Provide instructions to patients on preoperative and postoperative procedures.
- Observe patients' changing conditions and participates in updating patient care plans.
- Assist the doctor in a variety of diagnostic examinations.
- Train and assist with training to newly assigned personnel.
- Instruct patient and family on use of prescribed medications, contraindications of medications and the value of proper follow up self-care.
