About the Position: Supervisor provides general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies, and relies on the incumbent to control work operations and accomplish an adequate quantity and quality of work. Serves as the technical and administrative supervisor over the Maintenance & Repair.

  • Plans daily weekly and monthly work schedules and sequences of operations for subordinates.
  • Establishes deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules, methods, and policies established by higher levels of supervision.
  • Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures; instructs subordinates in new procedures; and provides advice when problems arise.
  • Investigates work related problems, (e.g. low productivity, etc) to identify causes; implements those corrective actions that can be taken within the limits of the incumbent's authority.
  • Develops performance standards, counsel's employees on performance, and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.
