It is the oldest continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.
- Prepares plans, detailed specifications, and equipment, material and labor cost estimates for installation, maintenance, repair, modification, or removal of production machinery, industrial plant equipment and systems.
- Revise plans and estimates if necessary as work progresses.
- Troubleshoot, determine extent of repairs, parts needed, and time required to make repairs.
- Prepares sketches reflecting exacting details suitable for use to fabricate or manufacture needed parts/components.
- Coordinates and maintains liaison with user of equipment, requester, contractor, subcontractor, engineering personnel, command, HQ, etc., to gather required information, plans, specifications, and contracts.
